My Personal Finance Skills

By Chancellor

The My Personal Finance Skills programme delivers free financial education workshops to schools across the country to help students understand more about money and leave school ‘life-ready’.

These sessions cover a variety of subjects including to help students deal with staying safe from scams, the first payslip, making decisions and risk, future finances and much more.

Due to the current pandemic, the workshops are clearly on hold for the time being. Fortunately, there are some really useful digital materials that are available to students which they can access from home. Last month, they added to their programme launching a new blog series covering a variety of topics with Ed kindly writing their first one on loans, debt and money management.

Ed commented “Now more than ever it’s so important that young people have the skills and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions. Hopefully I, and all the brilliant volunteers, will be out delivering face to face sessions in schools and colleges again soon.”
