Supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK with this year’s Christmas Jumper Day

We also wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about a charity we are working with over the festive period. One of our administrators, Vicki Allan’s mum was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently going through her treatment programme.

We want to support Vicki and her family, so we have decided to focus our Charity Jumper Day on raising money for the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity. We’re donating all the funds we raise to this worthy cause.

 

An update from Vicki

After feeling unwell for a few months earlier this year, my mum was told that she has inoperable pancreatic cancer. Thankfully, The Christie offered her six months of chemotherapy treatment in the hope that it would stop the tumour spreading.

On 19 December she will have her last chemotherapy treatment at Bury Hospice, and we will find out in the new year how the treatment has gone. We all dearly hope that they will offer her more chemotherapy or radiotherapy if the tumour has shrunk.

I am very grateful for how everybody at Chancellor has supported both myself and my family over the last few months, and also that they have chosen to support Pancreatic Cancer UK this year.

Our Christmas opening hours

The Chancellor office will close for the Christmas period on Friday 22 December at 5 pm and will re-open at 9 am on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
